Students and visitors find it difficult to navigate the Faculty of Education buildings at Waikato University.
With pathfinder it is possible to get directions to your desired destination from any location within the faculty.
Pathfinder uses faculty blueprints and HTML Canvas elements. An admin section exists to alter rooms or add additional buildings / floors.
Users can search for their destination by room number, name or staff member.
The pathfinder project was so successful that a 55″ touchscreen has been placed in the faculty reception with pathfinder running in a special kiosk mode.
